Why compressed air needs to be dried
Air leaving a compressor is warm and carries moisture. As it cools in the pipework, that moisture condenses into water, which can corrode pipes, damage pneumatic tools and contaminate products. A compressed air dryer removes the moisture so that the equipment downstream receives clean, dry air.

Refrigerated air dryers
A refrigerated air dryer cools compressed air so that moisture condenses and can be drained away. This type is widely used for general industrial compressed-air systems.
Heatless (desiccant) air dryers
A heatless air dryer passes air through desiccant towers that adsorb moisture, and regenerates the desiccant with a portion of the dried air. It is used where a lower dew point is needed. Choosing the right air dryer capacity
